The blood vessel may come from the patient s chest, legs or arms. This process causes significant narrowing in one or more coronary arteries. Such grafts act as a perfect substitute. Since they are not the only paths that bring blood and oxygen to the tissues, they can be removed and inserted wherever and whenever required. Prior to a CABG, a number of blood and other tests are mandatory. It verifies whether the patient s body is strong enough to cope with the surgery.
